Do No Harm in refugee humanitarian aid: the case of the Rohingya humanitarian response

Abstract The article broadly examines how humanitarian aid for Rohingya refugees inadvertently harmed poorer hosts and adversely affected local capacities peace. also discusses possible ways of easing tension improving social cohesion in the refugee-hosting areas, while highlighting policy- mandate-related constraints hinder a response anchored "Do No Harm" principle. Finally, concludes with argument that agencies should not just limit themselves to identifying unintended consequences lapses intervention. Instead, Do Harm principle lead make an active effort accept responsibility harm taking all necessary steps mitigate or avoid harming future interventions.
